A mobile phone stolen from President Bush's daughter was reportedly put up for sale on an internet auction site. The phone was put up for sale on website Mercado Libre with a starting price of about £160, reports Terra.cl. The advert on the website - the Argentinian equivalent of eBay - claimed: "Barbara Bush's mobile, an amazing possibility.

Emergency service 911 is not meant to be used as a dating service. Just ask an Oregon woman who authorities say learned the hard way. They say it started when some neighbors called the sheriff with a noise complaint about Lorna Jeanne Dudash. A deputy came to her door. After he left, Dudash allegedly dialed the emergency number, asking dispatchers to send back the "cutie pie," as she put it.

An addiction center in the Netherlands is opening what's being called Europe's first detox clinic for game addicts. "We knew about drugs like crack, but we couldn't find a program anywhere for kids like this," Bakker told the British Broadcasting Corp. "And we saw enormous parallels between problems with gaming and alcohol and gambling."

Judge lectures woman for laxative prank

A New Portland woman was ordered to perform 50 hours of community service for helping her daughter and two other teenage girls bake cookies laced with a laxative that were given to a teacher. Julie Hunt, 43, was charged with misdemeanor assault last month after a police investigation into the prank at Carrabec Community School in Anson that sickened four seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Woman Admits Leaving Dog Feces At Politician's Office

A Weld County, Colo., Democratic Party volunteer is due in court Aug. 10, after allegedly leaving an envelope full of dog feces at a congressional member's Colorado office. Authorities said a preprinted return address on the envelope was blacked out, but staffers for GOP Rep. Marilyn Musgrave traced it to Kathleen Ensz through a nine-digit ZIP code still on the package.

A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal's enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday. Miami-Dade police say a man stuck a potato on the barrel of a gun, believing the spud would act as a silencer and muffle the shooting of a woman. Police say Shane Thompson carved a hole in a potato with a spoon, stuck his gun inside and threatened to shoot the mother of his child. Thompson reportedly told her that no one would hear the shot, because of the potato's silencing qualities.
